The Amazing Journey tells the story of two eleven-year-old boys, Khalil, a Saudi and Max, a Canadian, who travel around Saudi Arabia. In the course of their adventure, they learn about Saudi Aramco, the oil industry, and the culture of Saudi Arabia.
Max’s father is a new safety inspector at Saudi Aramco. Max’s family is taking a trip around Saudi Arabia to get to know the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia better and because Max's father is visiting company facilities as an introduction to his new job. Khalil, a friend of the family, joins them on the trip. Along the way they meet other Saudi Aramco employees who teach them about the company, the oil industry, and the culture of Saudi Arabia.
Written for young readers ages 6 to 12, the book promotes environmental protection and energy conservation and encourages a love of science and learning.
