Q: What types of crude oil does Saudi Aramco provide at Ju'aymah and Ras Tanura terminal?

A: We export Arab Extra Light, Arab Light, Arab Medium and Arab Heavy crude oils at Ju'aymah and Ras Tanura terminals.

We also export Arab Medium (Abu Safah) crude and Khuff Condensate at Ras Tanura Sea Island.

Q: What is the maximum sailing draft at Ras Tanura Sea Island area?

A: The maximum sailing draft is 21.0 m.

Q: Can a terminal load two grades at the same time?

A: At Ju'aymah terminal, only one grade can be loaded at a time, while at Ras Tanura Sea Island, two grades can be loaded at once.

Q: What are the maximum loading rates at Ju'aymah and Ras Tanura terminals?

A: At Ju'aymah, the maximum loading rate is:

  • 130,000 barrels per hour (BPH) in total through two 20-inch hoses.
  • 110,000 BPH in total through two 16-inch hoses.

At Ras Tanura Sea Island terminal, the maximum loading rate is:

  • 35,000 BPH through each one of two or three loading arms (at Sea Island #2 and #3).
  • 75,000 BPH through each one of four loading arms (at Sea Island #4).

Q: What size loading arm connections are required at Ras Tanura Sea Island?

A: The connections at Sea Island #2 and #3 are 12, 14, and 16 inches.

The connections at Sea Island #4 are 16 and 20 inches.

Q:Do Saudi Aramco terminals operate berthing and unberthing at night?

A: All Saudi Aramco terminals operate 24 hours a day and seven days a week. There are no night time restrictions on berthing or unberthing operations.

Q: Are ships permitted to anchor at Yanbu' anchorage area upon arrival?

A:Yanbu' anchorage area is designated for ships assigned for berthing or for emergency use only.

Q: Are bunkers available at Jiddah?

A: We supply bunkers either alongside or at the anchorage area. You must make arrangements for bunkers prior to arrival.
