Exploration - Challenges

In the continual process of supplying the world with all the energy that it requires, challenges, technology and achievement are all closely intertwined. The primary challenges are the discovery of new fields or reservoirs and the optimal extraction of hydrocarbons from known reservoirs. To effectively and efficiently meet these challenges, newer, more sophisticated technology is required to gather more detailed data about the subsurface. With these data, geoscientists can make decisions and conduct planning regarding exploration and development.
