Contractors Saudization
In support of the corporate value of citizenship, and in line with the strategic direction and imperatives, Saudi Aramco is actively encouraging the Saudization of its contractors’ manpower. Prior to 2005, independent contractor Saudization initiatives were pursued by the company’s business lines. However, in order to integrate and further enhance the contractors’ Saudization process throughout the company, the Corporate Contractors Saudization function was established in Employee Relations & Training (ER&T) in January 2005.
The objective of Corporate Contractors Saudization is to establish a single-point entity within the company that is responsible for the coordination of all activities pertaining to Saudi Aramco’s efforts to increase the Saudi component of our contractors’ workforce.
Note: Saudi Aramco’s Saudization policies and guidelines apply only to work performed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under contracts between Saudi Aramco and its in-Kingdom contractors. These policies and guidelines are not applicable to work which is to be performed outside of the Kingdom, and they do not by themselves alter the contractual terms of any agreement between Saudi Aramco and its contractors.
